Sanford - the cutest place on earth
Happy New Year and hello from the cutest place on earth...Sanford! Sanford seriously is so adorable.
Transfers were on Tuesday! I met my new companion, found out where I was going and that I was driving. I was super scared because I have not driven in a few months! So all prayers for our safety would be great haha! I already have left the bike straps for the bike rack on the top of the car and they flew off when I drove away from our apartment. We had to go back and get them but we found them! I've also had to make a 10 point turn in the walmart parking lot because we couldn't get out! My driving is a work in progress!
My companion is Sister Bloxham she's a navuoo sister. During the winter months they go to a different mission because it's not as busy during the winter.
After a long day of transfers we celebrated the New Year at 10 pm! So much fun!
New Years Day we went over to a members house and had a good ole' southern New Years Day meal. We had black eye beans and colard greens. Apparently it brings wealth for the year!? It was actually not too bad.
This week consisted of tracting and stopping by formers. One day when while we were stopping by some former investigators and after knocking on the door of one of them, we hear "come in." We didn't know what to do so Sister Bloxham said "it's the missionaries!" We hear "oh, I'm in the bathroom." Never got that response before and couldn't stop laughing. We decided to just wait at the door and see if she would answer the door. She eventually came to the door and we set a date to come teach her a lesson later!
We tried to do "heart attacks" for some ward members, but when we went up to their houses we didn't think of the sensor lights. As we walked up to the door, all of a sudden the lights went on us! Sister Bloxham and I bolted down the long driveway with hearts in our arms. Pretty sure some hearts fell on the ground! It was an adventure.
Anyways nothing too much happened this week!
Love and miss y'all!
Happy New Year!!
